Things Facebook told me today

In American Idiot news, new pictures and preview the OBC album at MTVs The Leak. (US only, I think)

In an auto-complete (and sometimes, autopilot while typing) world, it is beginning to bother me that American Idol and American Idiot share all but their last 2-3 letters.
I'm trying to decide if/when I want to go see it again. I listened to the original Green Day album yesterday, and couldn't not picture the staging, and it made me want to go see it for the parts that are fuzzy in my memory, as well as the parts which are clear in their awesomeness. And, okay, to stare at Stark Sands some more. Sigh.
ETA: Ooh, the album has a (new) Green Day version of "When It's Time" - one of the songs added to the show - that Billie Joe wrote for his wife when he was 19. I ♥ him so much, sometimes.
One of the headlines that npr pushed to Facebook today was A Gun To Our Head: Are Technological Societies Suicidal? The blog doesn't go where I thought it would, but it amused me that the next thing on my news feed was related, in my head:
We Eat The New KFC Double Down And Live To Tell About It (But It's Only Been 15 Minutes)"
Wherein Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me staff liveblog eating a "sandwich" from KFC.
12:40: Ian: It's really a triumph of nature. When they're alive, a chicken never gets to have a pork inside of it.
Unshaven Women: Free Spirits or Unkempt?
America's New Kinder, Gentler Militia
