- Ocean's Eleven (you can probably substitute any number of team-y heist movies for this in a pinch, like The Italian Job, but Ocean's Eleven is my *favorite*)
- Ever After - actually, I haven't seen this one in several years, but it's been on my mind a lot since Yuletide produced The Flight of the Queen this year. It is probably more correct to say that the *idea* of this film cheers me up.
- First Daughter - that's the one with Katie Holmes and that guy who played Buffy's boyfriend at some point, not the one with Mandy Moore and...some guy, and Jeremy Piven. IDEK, I just love Forest Whitaker's sort-of-fairy-tale thing.
- Some Kind of Wonderful - Not my favorite John Hughes movie, but certainly the one that makes me happiest, because I'm not left worrying about anyone when the credits roll. Also, bonus points for Elias Koteas, AKA Casey Jones in the live-action TMNT movies.
- A Cinderella Story. Yes, the one with Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. Mostly it's that I am a sucker for Cinderella retellings, I think. Even when there is voice-over text messaging.
There are probably some more recent films that could elbow their way in, but until I've seen them 20 or 30 times, I don't like to mess with what works.
