healingmirth: Neil Patrick Harris as Barney with a six-pack of beer (NPH)

I slipped and fell down the stairs today. I am (bruised, but) fine. Still, I do not recommend it.
I am usually somewhat bothered by the number of video game, uh, things that I have stored in my brain. Like, I am reasonably sure that I could find my way from the Blackburrow entrance to the snake pit without making a wrong turn. Yesterday, I had the thought that this is not dissimilar from the way that I still remember the layout of the town I lived in when I was 12, and it started to bother me less. I mean, I sort of wish I hadn't nearly lived in EverQuest for five or six years, but having done that, I can't really begrudge my brain holding on to the knowledge.
The season premiere of White Collar snuck up on me, by which I mean I didn't know it had happened until the next day. I am glad that I was not anxiously waiting, because I think I would have been very upset. (And not even for the legit reasons, though that is definitely happening.) Even though this season seems like one giant setup for my absolute favorite type of story ever. Blargh.
In happier news, Neil Patrick Harris hosted the Tony Awards this year, and it was awesome. There will likely be links to video forthcoming.

Note to myself, figure out if there is either precedent or context for the sheer WTFery of Mark Rylance. (Also, Frances McDormand, who wore a jean jacket over what might have been a cotton dress, and I can't decide whether I'm bothered by it, and whether I am allowed to be bothered by it.)
Do y'all know about [community profile] bestthingever? I highly recommend it, and keep forgetting to mention.

On a related note I am very behind on reading All The Things, and have bookmarked what feels like every other entry on my reading page to be read later. I hope to catch up someday, but now I must zzzzzzzz...
