So, I watched all of Off the Map today. Despite the fact that I really enjoyed the 13 episodes, I think am glad that it was canceled, and here's why:
So it's basically Grey's Anatomy in the jungle, right? And I really liked the first season of Grey's Anatomy, when they were establishing the setting and the characters. And then they lost me, because once you have spent all the time you can establishing the characters, either you go illness-of-the-week, or you create conflict. And apparently the way you create conflict on a Shonda Rhimes show is that you have the doctors make UNCONSCIONABLE DECISIONS OH MY GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?
On a related note, apparently Grey's Anatomy is still on? Wow.
Anyway, Off the Map is available on Netflix, should you feel inclined to watch. And really, I was right with them until the end of episode 12.
