You ever have one of those months where you think, "hmm, maybe I have bronchitis"?
I'm preparing to watch a lot of Olympics, mostly volleyball, but I'm sure I'll get sucked into a narrative about gymnastics or swimming or track of some sort.
I have just realized that I really, really don't enjoy the talents of Bob Costas and Meredith Viera. I miss Mary Carillo and that other dude who had the late-night anchor job for Beijing. Consequently, I think I'll mostly be watching the live daytime broadcasts and the nbcolympics.com feeds of things and trying to avoid the evening compilations.
According to something on I think the NBC website, Doc Emerick is doing the play-by-play for water polo (starting tomorrow! which I know almost nothing about, except that most of the players regularly try to slightly drown their opponents!) and I'll be really curious to see how that goes for a sport where he doesn't have an entire brain full of facts about the sport and the athletes.
ETA: And also, watching and then reading all the Teen Wolf. Good lord.
