I was all ready to say that I couldn't decide who to vote for because everyone was so good, and then Adam Lambert came on, but I can't very well vote for everyone but him.
However, everyone loved Adam Lambert's version of Black or White, and I just totally didn't get it. 1) I think he screwed up the lyrics, and 2) ...seriously? I mean, yes, it was a performance, but I was so totally waiting for Simon to say that it was self-indulgent nonsense, and then he loved it. What?!?
ETA: After extensive internet research, I have decided that my teenaged brain just made its own sense out of the lyrics, so all I can blame Lambert for is repeating the non-sense-making. Also, maybe I am just too old. maybe he fits perfectly into some niche that I am not cool enough for. I don't care, I still want him banished back to *jazzhands* Broadway, where I'm sure he will have a lovely career and I won't be assaulted by his voice anymore.
