...another album preview from rdio.com! (I even looked up the pricing this time - available in the US and Canada for $4.99 a month online, or $8.99 for web and mobile device! It occurs to me that this (or some other streaming site) would maybe be worth the subscription fee for music at the office.

Declan was a member of the ensemble for American Idiot. I've probably mentioned him before. The last song on this album, "Love Wins" has been one of my favorite songs recently, but I hadn't listened to the whole album yet. By the time I got to Love Wins at the end of the album, I loved it a little less for the comparison to the rest of the album, which for the most part is really lovely and contemplative. I imagine that it's the last track on purpose, heading out of the troubled-relationship period into giddy hope and love again, but I need to listen to the tracks again to see whether there's really an arc or if I'm just imposing one on my memory of the songs.
(Although, I've got to say, a minute before the lyrics start on the first track? Really? I didn't notice that the first time.)
