what I accomplished at work today

I like when three sentence fic shows up at comment_fic, because I never feel like I'm disappointing someone by writing a comment fic that's too short. I love DW's larger comment limit, but my worries about writing, let me show you them. But anyway, work sort of sucked, so I wrote something. And here is the part where I spend more words talking about the fic than the fic took.

I would dearly love to be able to write fic for The Eagle, but I spent probably 20 minutes on wikipedia and google/google books just to write three sentences that could be set in any nondescript temperate region pretty much at any time in the past two millennia. Research is terrifying, yo.
