healingmirth: Jayne from Firefly: "time for some thrilling heroics" (thrilling heroics)
I can't remember how I found it, and I can't say this is the most productive hour or more I've spent this week, but this interview with Bryan Fuller about Hannibal was really interesting: Bryan Fuller walks us through the first three episodes of Hannibal (followed by the next three, and the next three, and the next three).

Spoilers for the whole first season, duh, including the episode that they pulled from broadcast following the Boston Marathon bombing; I'd seen the character-development excerpt that they posted online, but not the crime plot. Vague references to the second season throughout, and Bryan's long-term plans for the series in the fourth installment.

Unread, but also noted: 10 episodes that show how Quantum Leap set right what once went wrong from TV Club Top Ten.

I'm not sure how I feel about the album yet, but NPR First Listen: Typhoon, "White Lighter"
Kyle Morton writes songs for as if they were the last works he might ever create. His band is big by rock standards, with somewhere in the neighborhood of a dozen members playing mighty, powerful songs whose instrumentation conveys big, bold joy. But underneath it all are the words of a young man living on what he feels is borrowed time. When he was young, Morton contracted a serious case of Lyme disease; he suffered multiple organ failures and required a kidney transplant from his father. Basically, his childhood was taken from him.

ETA: In an amusing and unanticipated twist, I think my favorite track is "Dreams of Cannibalism"
