John Peters, you know, the farmer?
Aug. 10th, 2013 07:40 pmSo that's fun. Apparently this keyboard found itself some smart quotes and broke my HTML, but now that I know what happened, I can't reproduce it at all.
I haven't been paying much attention to which of you might be listening to Welcome to Night Vale, sorry. I'd sort of resolved to ignore it, since I'm not much for listening to things that aren't news or music, but it seemed worth a listen.
So, offer me thoughts if you'd like to share them? The pilot didn't really grab my attention, but I listened to the next five episodes on my very long walk today, and it was growing on me by the end. I think part of the problem is that I was expecting something different from Cecil, and I keep hearing Jack Handey in his voice, which is perhaps only a problem had by other people who watched Saturday Night Live in the early 90s. So, not an overwhelming percentage of English-language fandom, is what I'm saying.
I'm still working my way through my TV From Other Places queue. Tried the first episode of Whitechapel and gave up about 15 minutes in. Now on to The State Within, which seems more my speed and hasn't obviously screwed up anything about the US yet.
