It's Wednesday, and I own a book
Mar. 19th, 2014 11:25 pmI was thinking, before I navigated my way over here, that I couldn't remember the last time I read any published fiction, and eventually came up with the memory of reading Persuasion in 2010. It's not actually as bad as that - I've almost definitely read a couple of Sutcliff novels since then, and I think the Psycop books fell in there somewhere along with, I hope, a few other things I've forgotten. But yeah, it's been a while.
But now, this very evening in fact, I am reading The Grapes of Wrath, because NPR told me to and I somehow escaped reading it in school. It's certainly a book, I'll give it that much. I am super glad that I no longer have to write essays about novels.
