healingmirthThere's a DJ I follow on my more-or-less RL twitter account, who tweets sort of the randomest assortment of stuff, usually foursquare check-ins and links to articles about a mishmash of politics and music and I think sports.
(I'm mostly following him out of a sense of obligation, since I tweeted something at him like two years ago and he followed me in response. Figuring out social norms on the internet is hard, yo.)
One of his most recent was Panic! At The Disco Drummer Drops Off Tour which is sad no matter who it is, but then I realized that in the two years since I'd stopped paying attention I'd also totally combined Panic's lineup change with MCR's, and that "drummer" is co-main dude Spencer Smith. And it's for addiction rehab. So, nope, that wasn't just a regrettable stumbling block on the tour, but a serious problem for a guy who's been more or less in the public eye for, what, close to ten years? Yikes.
Also, not necessarily Brendan's fault that he didn't know what to say to his friend struggling with addiction, but... dude. Welcome to being a grownup. Learn to locate resources. Sad.
