Feb. 6th, 2014 02:29 pmIt's disconcerting to see fandom names show up in my RL twitter feed.
I don't know how people manage that. I can't imagine a life where I am not very much noooooooo, don't cross the streams, to the point of not interacting in any way with non-fandom peeps in their namespace. Maybe it'd be different if I wasn't in a profession that was so fraught with moral judgment. Like if I was, idk, an accountant, maybe it'd be less terrrifying?

Date: 2014-02-06 08:50 pm (UTC)Maybe. I DO NOT cross streams because of my work. Not everyone is fine with the whole slash fanfic thing; some people are VERY not-fine with it, and I don't want to find out just who in my work network falls into which category -- or would no longer work with me (a real possibility).
