So, American Idol Season 8, yeah?

healingmirthI'm assuming there's an American Idol fandom established somewhere... I've never looked for it (except a brief foray into Cook/Archuleta, because I am weak for David Cook and it's so easy to identify Archuleta as a caricature character. But I digress.)
But, seriously, this season is begging for judge/host porn to be written. Not by me, but I'm sure whoever the writer people are, they have a lot of fodder.
Dude. Seacrest. Seriously.
Also, last night was let's make the contestants cry night. I mean, it was sort of their fault for setting up a performance that was weak, but it seemed like it was unusually harsh for a performance show. Also? the arrangements sucked. I'm sure the band is super-busy, but I wouldn't have wanted to play that karaoke-track shit, and I'm sure they didn't either.
And finally! Anoop reminds me of the people I went to school with, and I totally want him and his preppy-nerdy love of R&B to keep kicking it. Danny Gokey is totally going to be a star (maybe a Christian Rock niche star, but still) even if he gets voted off first round. Which he won't.
