I can't remember the last time, before the Obama administration, when I watched an entire presidential address or press conference. Although, it was a near thing tonight. He's great, and I was interested in his responses, but man does he love his words.
I sort of love the writer from the New York Times for actually asking a question typical of the landmark [what has surprised, humbled, troubled, and enchanted Obama about/during the first 100 days in office] in the midst of all the Serious News questions. I sort of love that Obama used the tribute to the servicemen and -women answer for "enchanted" rather than "humbled."
However, on a not-at-all-world-in-crisis-note, they cut to a shot of Rahm Emanuel standing in the back of the room looking sort of scowly and (physically) wrapped up in himself like he was trying to be still, and it totally made me want to go watch The West Wing for some Toby. (Yeah, Toby, not Josh. *shrug*)
In not really related news, I went to google to see what the search suggestions pulled up (as you do) and... height? really?

In even more shallow news, this was the episode of American Idol where they split everyone into groups, and then make the last person pick which group they belong with. Last season, Archuleta refused to pick, and sat down on the stage. I think the person they pulled it on previous to that also refused to pick.
This season, they made Adam Lambert pick - and I called it that he was going to pick a group instead of refusing. And he totally picked wrong! Oh, Adam. Although, I've got to say, I'm surprised that Kris was in the bottom three.
Sweet! Cross-posting cut tags work now!
ETA - episode? is that even the right word, for competition/reality shows?
