wizards and zombies and ice cream, oh my!
Merlin premieres on NBC tonight. And I don't want to watch it. I don't. Really. I just finally watched the last 5 episodes of The Office, and wow, I totally picked the wrong time to give up on it. "Heavy Competition" was everything I've been missing from the show this season, and the season finale was fantastic, even though I was disappointed not to see Karen. Did they close her branch? I have so completely lost track of what happened in the first 3/4 of the season.
My friend who Knows More About Clothes than I Do, and is a kick-ass retail clothing store manager for a living also does not understand the giant bandanna/scarf thing this season, so I feel better about my lack of understanding it.

K: *eyeing the humor section* Ooh! Zombie survival guide. A guy I went to college with just wrote some zombie book. I wonder if it's in the humor section.
Me: Dunno, the only zombie book I know of that's new is the zombie Pride and Prejudice...
K: Yeah! That one. He was a film major. [like she was] Figures.
Wikipedia informs me that he has also written several other books, including one about the history of porn, some spider-man thing, and how to survive a horror movie.
And speaking of Pride and Prejudice (not really)...Bandom Big Bang is, like, now. And I'm not reading in bandom (like I don't want to watch Merlin *sighs*) but I'm totally going through and picking out the AUs. The spn_j2 big bang is posting all summer too, but I just can't bring myself to watch the community. I don't think I finished reading the fics from J2_everafter either. I've got 256 things tagged unread, and that list is totally not going down. And some of the things I have tagged unread now are, like, an entire community, or a writer's whole fic tag.
And, in conclusion: I have chocolate chocolate chip ice cream. I can't remember precisely what it says on the carton, but it's got, like, little tiny chocolate-shaving chips, and I keep thinking that they're ice crystals like you get in ice cream that's been in the freezer too long, or that was improperly made. I think that every. single. time.
I feel like I should put things behind cut tags for rambling when I do this, but I can never decide which parts. Feel free to yell at me.
