I? Am exhausted.

healingmirthI'm not tired for any good reason, but I *am* tired. I spent most of the morning signing contracts and picking out cabinets and counter-tops for the condo. With my mother. So maybe I am tired for a good reason.
Phooey. I still have to pick out tile and light fixtures. I hope to be excited again sometime before closing.
I'm going out to dinner tonight with sort-of-friends to the local Melting Pot for their special Halloween....whatever.

Remember when Halloween used to be fun? This year don't hide from the trick or treaters, just leave the candy on the front step, get dressed up and join us at The Melting Pot for a night of fondue and frights! Guests attending will enjoy a four course dinner specially created for the evening... ( menu ) We will also be bringing back our bloodthirsty beverages from last year including the Frakenstini and the Halloweenitini. Don't forget your costume as we will be holding a contest for the best Male, Female and Couple themed costumes, winners will receive a $100 Gift Certificate.
Thewoman girl who organized the 5 of us to go is dressing up as Hannah Montana/Whatever the non-rock-star's name is (is she also Miley on the show?) as in she's going to, like, sew the left half of one outfit to the right half of another, including a wig I think. For anyone following along at home, this is the chick who went off on the rant about rainbows and gay people. Also included in the hilarity, my maybe-date from a few months ago, his best friend, and the girl who used to the best friend, and had also dated their former roommate.
I couldn't be bothered to do an actual costume, but I'm pulling together a half-assed pseudo-witch costume, with a knee-length skirt and striped socks. Also, a scarf. No ruby slippers. No pointy hat. I'm the slacker second-cousin Witch of Somewhere Not Worth Specifying. I thought about dyeing my hair, but that never ends well, so I'm just going to wear too much eye makeup.
I just realized that I ought to set something up to record SGU tonight. It is indicative of how not-excited I am for this dinner that I had the thought that I'd sort of rather say home and watch SGU. This week, they look for water! Here's hoping that next week they're looking for fire. To burn it down.
