My condo is not quiet, but it suits me. It's about 500 yards from a highway, so there is a nearly-constant traffic hum. It's less than a mile from the commuter rail station, so once an hour or so, if I'm listening, there's a train whistle or two, and you can sometimes hear the bump of the train on the rails.

I have just discovered that when it rains, something about the gutters or the flashing on the roof leads to a constant water-trickling sound on the top floor This is the first rain we've had that hasn't had torrents of water pouring off the roof, which is why I imagine this is the first time I've heard it. Yesterday it took me 15 minutes of going around and checking and re-checking the faucets to make sure something wasn't running.
I finally watched The Fast and the Furious yesterday. I am just not that into Vin Diesel, sorry. Or Paul Walker. Or Michelle Rodriguez. Or cars. Which probably explains why it took me six years to get around to watching it. It gave me an excuse to read some of that fic I'd been ignoring, though.
And in case you didn't get enough of Matt Doyle being precious the other day, here's another chance!

There's a higher-quality version here, but I like the embedded version better. Also, the version he did at the 11:30 show, where the sound is worse, but he takes the mic off the stand. So, variety! Also, better back-up dancing.

The Fast and the Furious is Point Break, but with cars!

Nah, more like... there's really nothing original about The Fast and the Furious at all, but it's the closest chance I get to Point Break fanfic.

I'm looking forward to The Losers, if only to see how it'll match up to A-Team

Oh, Breaking Point. I remember someone rec'ed it to me, but I didn't give it a shot because I was turned off by the story choice to set the events of the 1990s Point Break after The Fast and the Furious. I just couldn't get my head around that. *shrugs*

I keep seeing reviews that say The Losers is basically an episode of the A-Team with more swearing, like that's a bad thing.

It seems to me like that description is more reason to see it than not.
