Tom Hardy. I love him. So much. (I was actually pretty indifferent until I clicked a link to an interview five minutes ago. When will I learn?)

ETA: between him and Michael Esper, the part of my brain that contains the voice of my social-worker mother would like to remind me of this: if I ever attempt to date anyone who has had that colorful a past and has not dealt with it already, I will be disowned.

Luckily for everyone, the majority of people I am ever likely to meet have led very, very boring lives.

Have you seen the AlloCine Interview with Inception Cast (it's on YouTube in 4 parts). Tom is utterly adorable in it - particularly the last few mins of part 4 where he's totally geeking out about how awesome French cinema and drectors are. Bless!

I don't remember if it's in the first or second half of the interview, but he talks about picking up people's accents by osmosis? I do a tiny bit of the same thing, and I'm always terrified that people will think I'm mocking them when it happens :(

(There is an interview with Christian Bale, somewhere, where he sounds like London by way of New Jersey by way of Chicago, and it is hilariously distracting)

This is the first interview of Tom's that I've watched, and I really don't think my heart can take any more, but maybe tomorrow!

*nods nods* I think that was in the first bit of the interview. I am envious of people who can do that because I am awful at accents.

Oh you MUST watch the AlloCine one and the one with Cillian - he's adorable in both.

He's got a wifebeater on in the Cillian one with tats on display and they are riffing off each other a lot and trying to out articulate each other. There's much waving of hands and constructing long run on sentences.

In the AlloCine one the last few minutes French Cinema geekout are utter gold. as is his oft repeated "I'd do anything, ANYTHING for Chris Nolan." Methinks Tom has a bit of a crush going on (as indeed do the rest of the cast).

Yeah, I just watched it again, and Tom's "yes.*nod*... No.*head shake*" when Jonathon Ross asks about playing the random outburst of violence characters, it just kills me.

It is 2am, and I am so totally on the wrong side of the day, here. Just say no to youtube!

Oh yes that was....I also loveed the line about his head being dark and he shouldn;t be allowed in there without a responsible adult. *G*

And the whole knitting riss which he ended with "I'll knit a cat."

Tom, Tom you are a strangely beautiful boy and adorably self deprecating.

(Uh also in the AlloCine intevriew there may be examples of Tom and JGL trying to out do each other with correct French pronunciation as opposed to the rest fo the cast who mangle the language and Marion's name terribly).

There's one sentence where he veers between at least London, something sort of rounder and/or Scottish, and then some sort of flat US accent. In like eight words. Poor boy.

In all his TV promo interviews for Inception he's got this whole *proper* cultured South London Mortlake-EastSheen boy going on. Very clear, very British and then suddenly in the Jonathan Ross interview I was all DUDE WHET THE EVER LOVING FUCK?! *blink blink blink*

It's because he was sitting next to the Glee kids backstage and then got thrown to the wolves of Jonathon Ross's presenter voice. *nods* Maybe he had a lot of very proper London interviewers for the Inception things. Or he was *gasp* Acting!
