I finally finished watching the rest of season one of The LXD. (I don't know whether it's available anywhere outside the US, and Jon M. Chu seems to live on YouTube, so I'm sure he's been searching and swinging the ban-hammer at anyone who's been uploading episodes in an easily-findable way.
I think it's worth watching, if you're a fan of SYTYCD or Step Up or whatnot, but...
...the expository dialogue within the episodes is terribad. Also, it's not really necessary to the episode, and pretty much not necessary to the season.
Elderly Intro Dude: also not really integral to the process if you're familiar with that whole thing with that whole "some are born great..." saying, and with the concept that people make sacrifices for love and/or valor.
Season one is basically all individual origin stories, so if you don't feel like watching one, skip it. The whole season is only about 85 minutes long, though, so it's not like it'll ruin your day to sit through from start to finish.
Episode 8: Elliot's Shoes, starring Harry "other Asian" Shum, Jr. - it's funny, and there are several different music clips, so it doesn't ever get the "is it over yet?" feeling that a couple of the others do
Episode 6: Duet, featuring Will from SYTYCD Season Four and Galen Hooks. Clever editing, good concept, beautifully danced by both of them.
Episode 5: The Lettermakers featuring Lil C. Totally bzuh? plot but a couple minutes of great krump, as you'd expect. Good for washing the taste of SYTYCD out of your mouth. I really should rent Rize again; I haven't seen it since right after it came out on DVD.
Episode 3: Robot Love Story featuring Madd Chadd. Totally worth watching if you've never seen Madd Chadd. Probably skippable, if not.
Episode 9: Fanboyz is the worst offender in the wonky dialogue category, but Ryan Hansen shows up to play the guy you'd expect Ryan Hansen to be playing, and it's a good geek-power clip.
