And in other stargate-related news

I maybe do not pay as much attention to actors' faces as I should, but when this episode started, I wanted to know why Larrin (did she die? I can't keep track of their random guest characters) was in Atlantis wearing one of their uniforms.

And then! In light of having read that omg who is gay speculation, when she stabbed Zelenka? That would have been an awesome moment for him to have, like, an emergency contact type person who was his boyfriend!!!1! Except that Zelenka is not painfully awkward with everyone, but was painfully, painfully bad with Carter, so that had to have been a crush thing. Unless there are people who turn into stammering idiots around their bosses. I've never met one of those, and it was Science, which he is otherwise good at. But its not like they don't already handwave character continuity.

Speaking of character - what was up with Ronon and Rodney not stopping outside Keller's door to have the "what is wrong with her" conversation that that scene SO OBVIOUSLY POINTED TO? That had so much potential for awesome sort-of-post-rivalry banter. In addition to not wasting the scene before it...

I am a little confused about the question of whether Neeva is dead or not. It seems a little late in the game to be introducing new characters/villains to SGA, does it not? And do they really need a Vala? Maybe it was just dodging having to address the death of a not necessarily evil character? I mean, she certainly seemed like she could be a killer when it suited her... since she seems to have tried to kill Zelenka and all... but I'm not all that confident in The Coalition's ability to judge people's crimes.
