now I have a machine gun. ho-ho-ho
Dec. 19th, 2008 08:53 amIn celebration of...absolutely nothing, am having a Die Hard marathon. Christmas, maybe?
1) Alan Rickman is the best villain ever. Possibly best everything ever. I'm going to have to watch Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves again after this.
2) Deputy Chief of Police Dwayne T. Robinson? Is Principal Richard "Dick" Vernon from the Breakfast Club! Playing the exact same character! And while he has been in a ton of other things I'm positive this is the only other thing I've seen him in. Does he play the same character in every single role?
3) Agent Johnson? Is Kolya! But I had to pause it and stare at the screen forever before eventually giving up and looking at imdb :(
4) Wow, I do not remember Die Hard 2 being that bad. I don't even feel like the writing or plot were that questionable, so much as the line readings really really sucked. Oh, and also the fact that the death and the blood seemed completely gratuitous. Yes, sure, let's have John be tortured by the knowledge that he didn't save the plane with his improbable plan... was that supposed to be a twist, or twisting the knife, showing the people on the plane before killing them?
