healingmirthI have officially not defaulted on my Yuletide assignment, so that's good, but I wish it was... more. It may become more. It's nice to have written things that I like, in the past, but it's so frustrating to go back and read a passage I've written, and just really, really like it, and not be able to produce that again.
This is perhaps not being helped by listening to a live album that is reminding me of the most heart-wrenching concert I ever went to. Argh.
Also, the theme for the day is exploding fruit. It's really a miracle that I have any clothes without food or drink stains on them.
This has been a weird approach to Christmas. I feel like there was the post-Halloween "Christmas, really?" moment, but we were still hip-deep in Sandy, some of us literally, and it went away. Our nativity pageant is weirdly early, each of our advent wreath lightings in church have been marred by miscommunication or lighter malfunction. Christmas isn't about perfection, obviously, but it's still been disconcerting at a minimum. Also why is Christmas on a Tuesday.
ALSO - I have not seen any Coca Cola polar bear commercials this year. This is unacceptable.
So, yeah. I will more than likely post again in a day or two, but if not, Merriest Christmas wishes if that's your holiday, and peace to you if it's not :)
