hello, new tag!

1) I should not be allowed to read wing!fic.
2) Die Hard does not require AUs.
However, the more I write, the more aware I am that not only is there a 20+ year age difference between John and Matt, but that means that John is, you know, 20+ years older, so my not-at-all-well-hidden 'til death romantic doesn't want to write anything past first-time stories, because I don't want McClane to grow old and die and leave Matt alone.
Me? Issues with abandonment and death? Nah...
So! How awesome would it be, my brain says, to have AU where McClane is less reluctant human hero, and more vengeful war-type angel creature with big-ass wings posing as reluctant human hero until he finds true love, and through some mechanic that I am not ambitious enough to figure out, they both live happily ever after and then go to heaven. Leaving behind only a neighborhood full of a charmingly eclectic cast of characters who remember them fondly.
