healingmirth: Brian from The Breakfast Club, looking cool (breakfast club)
I haven't posted any recs since Yuletide, and I'm not sure why. Here's some stuff that was pretty neat, lately.

Ansible, ansible Generation Kill, Brad/Nate (+ ensemble), 5600 words, R
-Space travel/time dilation AU, a little bit heart-breaking and a lot awesome. I would *almost* rec this to people who haven't seen Generation Kill, I love it so much, but I think it leans heavily on canon knowledge of the characters, and I don't think the effect would be the same. Love it though, love the structure, love the details, love the characters.

10 Items or Less: A Love Story in Bullets About Ray Person and Walt Hasser Generation Kill, Ray/Walt, PG-13
I am a sucker for Ray-voice, what can I say?

The Profiler AU Criminal Minds, Hotch/Reid, 3 ficlets and then 7k+ words, PG-13

(also good: A Different Kind of Solitude, Hotch/Reid, NaNoWriMo novel, not sure how many words, NC-17 for lots of sex and some violence, if I remember correctly. I may have recced this before.)

Anglesey Harry Potter, Snape/Harry, 21000, NC-17.
Severus had refused to go on holiday with Harry a year ago, and now has to wonder if he might have chosen differently, had he known it was the last he would see of Harry.
This is my favorite Snarry-a-thon fic this year. It's set post-canon (EWE = Epilogue, What Epilogue?), but in the muggle world, so it references the events of the books without being Hogwarts/magic-based.

Aaaand because I only checked my recent comments on LiveJournal...whoops... one more!

All We Are Gossip Girl RPF, Ed Westwick/Chase Crawford, NC-17.
I'll be honest: I don't actually know anything about these guys. If you can keep their names straight, and you enjoy reading about contemporary youngish people making questionable, ill-informed decisions where their hearts are concerned before they sort themselves out, you should read this.

The Caucus Race and a Long Tale: The Alice in Wonderland Big Bang

I am so, so tempted to write an Alice story about Hatter settling into the world, or not, with some sort of further adventure. Except for the part where I don't have a single idea. And haven't written a single word of fic for any Alice fandom, ever. And am terrified or creating a Hatter voice. Clearly, you should write it for me.

I was thinking about my NCIS/Leverage crossover again today, but I haven't watched NCIS in so, so long. I want to want to write it, though. If there's anyone out there who's on board with the wacko Abby/Eliot, I think I need prompts.

Or, hell. Prompt me anything you want.

Top Chef Masters is back! Project Runway is almost over! ...I don't particularly care about either of those, though the preview for the episode of Top Chef where last seasons Masters return looks sort of entertaining.

I had a third thing, but I think it was complaining about something, so instead I will say that I just saw a commercial for Letters to Juliet with Amanda Seyfried and Vanessa Redgrave, and it looks cute.
