healingmirth: deadpool, bemused, missing a chunk of his head (deadpool)
I watched the first hour of Warehouse 13 while I was dogsitting, and I can't say that I'm sorry I missed it when it was first on. Has anyone watched it? Does it get better? I like the setting part of the premise, but I'm not sure I can handle another hour of the wacky archivist, the charming, intuitive, womanizing guy who is just happy to be there and gets everything right, and the hardworking "hilariously" uptight woman who's been ripped from her planned and promising career path without any explanation. I have a sinking feeling that in the second half her tragic past will be revealed as the reason she threw herself into her work, and that she just needs someone to heal her heart.
In happier news, I watched the whole first season of Oz yesterday. On the one hand, it's probably a good thing that I didn't watch any of it when it originally aired, but on the other hand, I think in 1997 I was watching mostly romantic comedies, so maybe my horizons could have used a little broadening. I wouldn't have loved it in 1997, though, I'm sure of that, and I'm totally hooked now.
I enjoy Jason Mraz's music, but after watching his Farm Aid "Jason Mraz and Friends" concert, he's going to be permanently filed with Kenny Chesney under people I can't watch with a straight face.

And on a related note, Yahoo! informs me that Chase Crawford was busted for smoking pot in his car. This makes me sad (and I'm blaming you for this [personal profile] dirty_diana because I didn't know who he was six months ago) because either I want to be mad at him for smoking up before driving, or I want to be sad if he was in fact hanging out in his car blazing up by himself, because. You know what, I'm not even going to entertain speculation in my own head about why he'd be smoking pot for reasons other than strictly recreational stupidity.
I was reading The Losers, but I am stuck because I really, really hate Martinbrough's art. I'm trying to get past it, but I seriously don't even want to look at the panels long enough to read.
