I just saw an ad for Ironside ( http://www.nbc.com/ironside/ ) which looks... promising?

it sounds like it basically only has the name, the occupation, and the wheelchair in common, but yes.

The old "concept show" idea -- He's a detective! In a wheelchair!

It sounds like the producers also responded to questions about casting an able-bodied actor with "the show needs flashbacks to before his injury" so I'm a little nervous about the execution. But still hopeful!
