I think I may have forgotten a movie...
Somehow, in watching Looper commercials, I just took it as read that Joseph Gordon Levitt was the younger guy, and didn't actually pay enough attention to notice that they'd made him up to look like Bruce Willis. And then continued to not notice until like ten minutes into the film.
Interesting, though unsurprising that JGL was often working his ass off to become Bruce Willis, who was entirely his squinty, world-weary self from start to finish.
Also worth noting that I was massively confused about the premise. I can't even remember what I thought happened, because the opening voice over made it instantly clear, just that I thought about it multiple times when the movie came out, and remained convinced that something was Wrong Wrong Wrong.
And Zero Dark Thirty, which was just... long. Seriously, two and a half hours. Why? I do get that it wasn't intended to be a thriller or actiony, but it didn't feel like a particularly effective character piece and then it maybe tried to go documentary?
I've got Prometheus and Les Mis queued up, too, but again: long. And I've got a season plus of Person of Interest to get through in a couple weeks if I want to be caught up in time for New Season, New Cast, etc. which I sort of do.
