Project Runway makes me sad, but not for the reason I expected

So, finale. They all get sent home to make their collections, blah blah blah. Tim visits, comments on their collections, and then they have a lovely moment with family and friends. And Kenley doesn't get a moment. I get that her family (is it just her father?) lives elsewhere, since she moved to New York All By Herself, but she doesn't have a happy little group of Brooklyn friends to sit around and clap about how proud of her they are? I guess there's no point in showing Tim around either, since he must know the city probably better than she does but still. Has anyone else just done the collection visit and that's it? Maybe Christian last season. I don't think anyone's been so totally ostracized from the rest of the designers, so maybe what seems like a Big Deal with Kenley is a normal part of a show with a time constraint.

I would have loved to see Jerrell's collection on the show, because I think it would have been more fun than Korto's, and because, honestly, I would have liked Kenley to miss her shot at winning, but there's no denying that Kenley's wedding and bridesmaid's dresses were great enough to earn her the spot.

And wow, yeah, did Kenley's wedding dress bear an unfortunate resemblance to Alexander McQueen's yellow feather bustier dress. Ouch.
