I was reading a review of Colditz this weekend that mentioned being surprised that "an American actor" did such an excellent Scottish accent, and it has just now occurred to me that they were talking about Damian Lewis. A+ effort, mystery reviewer.

A One Direction song (Kiss You) is currently tied for first (with Dreaming by Smallpools) as my stupid pop music jam of the moment, and I am questioning my life choices about as much as usual.

Summer Girls by LFO was also in heavy rotation this summer. I feel like I need to go listen to... something else.

I remember a review of The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances that complained about John Barrowman's dreadful attempt at an American accent, and couldn't they have just hired an actual American?

Ha, awesome!

Now I'm wondering how hard he has to work to hold on to his american when he's filming with anyone from the UK, because I've definitely seen him slide into other people's accents in interviews.
