belated AO3 memes
Jan. 5th, 2014 06:55 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I wrote stuff this year, sort of! But I decided I'd rather do the overall meme as a baseline, so.
And since it's pretty much always zero-interaction amnesty around this journal, you're absolutely welcome to copy the text of either meme out of the the text boxes without commenting, reading what I wrote or mentioning me in any way :)
You know what these memes were great for? besides being vaguely productive while watching this Green Bay-San Francisco football game. Catching inconsistencies in my tagging.

Total Works: 68 - all fic
Total Wordcount: 129958
Average Wordcount: 1911
(and my median wordcount is 773, so)
Longest Story: the end of missing someone (16,492. hahahaha what?)
Shortest Story: untitled winter The Eagle three sentence fic - 101 words.
Have I never written a word count drabble? Apparently not.
A lot of my fic "should" be longer than it is, if I'd written it to the level of detail the ideas warranted. However, I'm fairly certain that the end of missing someone would be shorter if I hadn't written and posted it as a WIP over like a year and a half. So much Jeff wandering around feeling confused and sorry for himself, omg.
Total Kudos: 1332
Average Kudos: 19.59
(Median: 9)
Story With the Most Kudos: the end of missing someone, see below.
Fun fact, I went back and forth about whether the average should properly be 19.59, or 20, or something else entirely, and then went back to look up the rules for significant figures in calculations, because my experience only involved measurements, not exact numbers. So I arbitrarily cut it off at two decimal places.
Total Comment threads: 128
Average Comment threads: 1.88

Story With the Most Comments: when necessary, use words, see below.
Total Author Subscriptions: 20
Total Story Subscriptions: 5 (all mis-clicks, I'm fairly certain, since they were all one-shots
Story With the Most Subscriptions: yeah, nope. all tied at one anyway.
Total Bookmarks: 170
Story With the Most Bookmarks: the end of missing someone 21 on /stats, 13 public.
Stories With No Comments or Kudos: Two of my The Office fics are the only things that have no kudos. Both posted backdated to AO3 long, long after they were written and posted elsewhere, and they're both basically not!fic noodling, so I completely don't blame anyone who read them.
I've got lots (29) of stories with no comments on AO3, but of the ones that were originally posted there (and I think only there?) and still have no comments, I've got one not!fic fragment, one AU in a tiny fandom (three bookmarks, though?), and one flashfic in a tiny fandom. I had a NYR fill that had no comments for a long time, including not even a kudos click from the recipient, but meh, NYR. Maybe she never even saw it.
AO3 "top ten" Works Meme
I'm one of those people who's gone and added everything (so far as I know) that I've ever posted online, so this stretches from oooold (for me) fic, through the "post everything everywhere" era, to today's AO3-only (mostly... hi, kink memes) posting.

I don't really do porn. I am however signed up for the current round of
stop_drop_howl so hopefully I can bump that up by at least one.
I haven't gone back to look at those not rated fics like I have the other funny things that showed up, so I'm not sure which fics they are but I'm pretty sure I'll sort them into a rating before the end of the night.

Shocking, I know. Why not more het? Why no multi? Why not a single F/F story? Not even a drabble?
On the more het front, I sort of want to write Abby Sciuto with Tim Gutterson now. I can't quite manage to ship her with Gibbs, but I think that her wealth of Gibbs experience would be really interesting in a dynamic with Gutterson. If a bit confusing, having to keep him straight with McGee.

Six Inception fics, really? And then I remembered that three of them are pornish meme fills. One doesn't even have a title. ("A guest left kudos on untitled" always makes me smile when it shows up in a notification email.)

The Abby number isn't right... When I filter by relationship, it goes up to four, and Eliot appears in three, as they both should. Odd. Tunny and Will both appear in all 5 of my AI fics, too. Other than that, this is pretty accurate to the amount of time and intensity with which I fell for those characters and ships.

Remember when I used to be able to write comment fic? Good times.
I rarely if ever used content-descriptive tags on my work, particularly the backdated stuff. I feel like I at least want to go back and add some of the "first time"/"established relationship" variety, but effort, yuck.
Most Hits Perfect is as Perfect Does the Arthur/Eames kissing fic. This was 1) a meme fill, 2) posted to AO3 more or less concurrently with posting the full content to LJ/DW and 3) relatively early in Inception fandom, so in before there were a million of every type of fic you could ever want.
Most Kudos & Most Bookmarks the end of missing someone Carter/Richards trade!fic.
I was really happy to see this overtaking my other fic stats after I posted it, but even though it's locked to the archive and a slightly rarer ship, it makes sense that it's at the top of the list. (It's not actually a rare pairing, but it's got a fraction of the fics of the two juggernaut pairings, and is somewhere in the 3rd-5th range depending on whether you're counting recent activity or overall.) It's written around basically the keystone event for the pairing, the fandom is, I think, still growing, and the fic-producing part of it is fairly well-contained to AO3 now .
Most Comment Threads when necessary, use words Lewis fic for yuletide, so thank you, yuletide culture of commenting on fics, for holding on by its fingernails.
