Better late than never? Also, the entry a week or so ago where they listed the concerns they'd been hearing (the first item was "You don't like how everything just suddenly changed with no warning or initial announcement." Which, duh, but it was oddly refreshing to have it acknowledged.)

I don't see this changing anything about my usage of the site, and I still hate most of the ways that LJ renders on my phone, which is overwhelmingly the way that I interact with the internet these days. But it'll definitely make me feel less conflicted when the next billing cycle comes up, so that's a solid win for LJ, congrats on your $10 or whatever.
