I'm catching up on The Last Ship (good! a little excessive with the villain monologuing in recent episodes, but good!) and during the first episode of my backlog, they had this tagline ad thinger:

THE BEST

NEVER WAIVER

THE LAST SHIP

which I was going to make a gif of for posterity, but then lazy.

I don't know that I agree with the tagline, but at least they fixed the spelling by the next week.

I mean it's not, like, Hannibal levels of good, but I am not a huge fan of Eric Dane's acting, or Adam Baldwin's everything, and those were the only actors I had heard of before, plus summer limited run basic cable, etc. A pleasant surprise, is where I'm going with this.

I think I've totally given up on Tyrant and Dominion after the first episode of each. I've got this season of Suits and Teen Wolf to start, and the first two episodes of Manhattan. Oh! And finally finished season two of Person of Interest, but haven't yet decided if I want to watch Person of Interest season three, The Musketeers, or make a dent in my bookmarked epic length fic reading while traveling this week.

Also saw Guardians of the Galaxy, and I can't remember the last time I saw a movie opening weekend. Like, it might have been when I was in college. I don't have much to say, except that the general awesomeness of all the character interactions more than made up for the probably-necessary exposition dumps. I think rewatching Pacific Rim has become, like, a permanent part of the total exposition allergen load in my brain, so that I now exist right at the threshold where I have a severe reaction to as-you-know-Bob moments.

Ed Sheeran's new video Don't came out today, and it's basically five minutes of Phillip Chbeeb dancing. I'm going to assume he knows his body and is taking care of himself, but dude looks skinny, yikes.
