I realize that ignoring things until they go away is not the best life strategy... but what if I just ignore some things until they go away?
Two cups of coffee and no food until noon was a terrible, terrible idea, and I'm going to fix that just as soon as I can convince myself to stand up. Part of my brain is telling me that eating something is going to make me more nauseated, not less, but that part of my brain is wrong.
Also, standing up requires walking away from the kitten and the laps he's running around me. I'm guessing he's got a case of the wild scrambles because of the changing weather, or it could just be because it's a day ending in Y.
The regional gothic thing that is happening on tumblr (and maybe the wider internet?) is pretty great.
Also, this Fairfield County Gothic entry is not as creepy as it could have been, but is in fact 100% true.
But seriously, though.
ETA: Also,
Somewhere in the depths of my phone I have a picture of 5 Elmos outside the Toys R Us in Times Square.

The shops in town are all closing and no one knows why. They are being replaced with frozen yogurt shops.
But seriously, though.

You didn’t want to cross through Times Square, but you have to get to Port Authority. A man in an Elmo costume tries to get your attention as you hurry across the plaza. As the light changes, you hear him scream your name. His voice is oddly familiar.
