I just spent ~20 minutes organizing the Marvel shelves at our local Borders. If I knew anything about DC other than Batman and Superman in the vaguest sense, I would have fixed that shelf too. Ditto Dark Horse. Not only were the books set down completely at random within the Marvel section, but they were scattered across the shelves for the other 5 publishers as well.

And no, I don't work there. *sighs* At least it wasn't like I had anything better to do with my time. Maybe I should start applying for sales positions at bookstores.

One would not think, looking at my apartment, that I would have a thing for organization, but when its someplace like a bookstore, where things are *supposed* to be organized, it's seriously like I have a compulsion to fix them. While Christmas shopping a few months ago, I spent probably half an hour sorting CDs at Best Buy back into their proper place.

I seriously don't understand how people can pick things up and set them down again in the completely wrong place. It's like everyone in the world is living by Eddie Izzard's bit about grocery shopping, and how it's not illegal to just load up your cart with stuff and then just abandon it (cause it's not stealing, you're just moving it.)
