new-school crayola

I set out to do some coloring tonight. For real. With crayons. In a coloring book. I opened up the box of crayons that showed up in either a birthday or some other holiday package from my mother a few years ago Wizard's Giant Box of Crayons.
I'm a little unclear as to whether this is to be considered "all" of their colors(which Crayola points out that it is not - it doesn't include "Multicultural" crayons, or fabric crayons") or whether its a random assortment in an appropriate variety of colors. All the shade groups seem to be pretty equally represented.
I happened to notice while sorting the box out into color groupings (because my ancient logical brain can't deal with the pinks not being adjacent, because what if I chose the wrong pink for Eeyore's bow?!?) a color called "Manatee" that I'm positive used to be Cadet Blue, and so now I have to go through them all and note the new names, and other things I disagree with.
Red? is not. Scarlet, however, is pretty close. Neither of them have an appropriately red wrapper though.
Tickle me Pink (ha) Cerise (that's in the red family? oh, apparently its derived from French for cherry, but its more of a magenta) Pig Pink (which should be filed with white under "dog whistle colors" but perhaps I just ought to invest in black construction paper) Wild Watermelon (neon pink, makes me worry what these children think passes for food) Brink Pink (so named because its nearly red? not sure) Cranberry (not) Cotton Candy (ditto) Radical Red (if by radical you mean not) Razzle Dazzle Rose and Shocking Pink. Presumably there are children, somewhere, who either can tell the difference between the 10 hot/neon pinks, or pink is just such a wildly popular color that they need that many more of them so the box wears out at once.
The browns are largely untouched and acceptable, except for Fuzzy Wuzzy Brown.
Purple Mountain's Majesty, and Purple Heart now sit beside Mauvelous, Purple Pizazz, and Royal Purple.
Outer Space is a very dark blue, so I assume the intention is "outer space seen through atmosphere" or somesuch, cause last time I checked, space didn't have a color. It turns out that Cadet Blue is still there. Manatee is slightly grayer
Antique Brass has joined gold, silver and copper. I always wondered why it wasn't gold silver and bronze, and I continue to.
Laser Lemon, Neon Carrot, Atomic Tangerine (see earlier concern re: watermelon) Macaroni and Cheese, which is actually pretty close to the color of Kraft powdered cheese mix. Unmellow Yellow. I think Dandelion is my favorite, but I can't remember if it was in the last box I had or not. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt because it's pretty.
Timberwolf and Shadow (a sort of nasty smoggy green posing as black) join white, gray and black.
Electric Lime, Magic Mint and Shamrock. Asparagus (which I think I remember) and Granny Smith Apple. Mountain Meadow, Tropical Rain Forest in addition to Jungle Green. Jungles are bluer than rain forests, in case you're curious.
Also, apparently crayons make me sneeze now.
