I sort of failed at watching Project Runway and Models tonight. I tuned in 5 minutes late, so I missed Carol Hannah's visit, and then just zoned out a bunch of times, like, playing solitaire.

I also watched a bunch of old SGA episodes today. I am not particularly detail-oriented about my shows, so I miss a lot, I'm sure, but

Seriously, they used the space on the Daedalus to ship them individual tiny bottles of fancy water?



Still about as sick as I have been, but we're driving down to Maryland for my cousin's "wedding celebration" tomorrow. For some reason, everyone in my family has gotten married twice, recently, with a quick civil wedding, and then a party wedding several months later. I'm just hoping I can make it through the church service without coughing. (are Lutheran weddings wordy? I haven't been to a Lutheran church in as long as I can remember).

I've managed to write at least my two hundred words for mini_nanowrimo every day so far, but it's all been fic exchange stuff, or just a random couple hundred words, so that WIP filter is still empty, but if anyone else wants on it, let me know.

They also have those individually-packages sandwiches, if I remember correctly. The hard plastic packages, I mean.

Now, every time they're in that room, all I can do is look at the water bottles, or the disposable styofoam bowls, or whatever, and wonder who's in charge of their supplies and their waste disposal. I have clearly wasted all of my suspension of disbelief on things like wingfic and magical realism.

Well, obviously one has to expend their belief on the big things like inter-galactic travel and soul-sucking vampiric aliens. After all that, who has anything left for the little details? ;-)
