healingmirthI have one word for the beginning of this year's Tony award broadcast. Awkward. I think this was the same word I had for last year's broadcast. And this year there's no Neil Patrick Harris, though I do enjoy the effort Sean Hayes is making.
The sound in the opening sequence was a complete disaster. (it got better later)
The awards portion of the evening led off with Katie Holmes busting out of the bodice of her dress, next to Daniel Radcliffe who's about boob-tall on her.
I could say more, but instead I'll just refer you to the NY Times live blog, where they say everything I would have said, as well as a bunch of stuff that I wouldn't.
