The LXD premiered on Hulu yesterday. I don't know if it's just me, or if the audio and video are slightly out of sync. It's probably just me.

I don't really understand what's going on - I think the first few episodes are supposed to be origin stories for characters? - but Ryan Hansen (of Veronica Mars and Party Down) was in the first episode as the jerk boyfriend who dared to mock the mad skillz of the protagonist.

I'm not sure why I was expecting better writing or acting than in Step Up 2, but I sort of was. The dancing's cool and all, but I'd sort of rather watch youtube videos of random battles.

I think we're almost to the point in SYTYCD where I'll be sad whoever gets cut. I don't think I fully expressed my OMGYAY for Dave Scott's return to SYTYCD last week, so I'll say it here: OMGYAY. I love that Cat and Nigel were both all about the Justin Timberlake comparisons for Kent, because that was my first thought when he came on stage.

How much do I love Kent and Lauren right now? So, so much. Go watch them knock Travis's choreography out of the park. Really.

I'm guessing that the bottom three this week are going to be Ashley, Robert, and Adechike, and if that happens, I bet the judges will send Adechike home, which I would be fine with

Also, Emmy nominations! Stacey Tookey: Katheryn and Legacy, that one about fear. Mia also got one nomination for three routines: Gravity: Kayla and Kupono - this is the addiction one, and is by far my faaaavorite. Koop Island Blues (the one whre Evan spends two minutes staring at Randi's butt) and One from A Chorus Line.

Derek Hough and Chelsie Hightower were nominated for this Paso Doble, and Derek was nominated solo for the futuristic Paso he did with Joanna Kruppa last season, and Anything Goes with Nicole, which the judges tore apart. I would've picked the 50's Paso he did with Nicole over any of the other ones.

Also! Adam Shankman for the Oscars, which was apparently the opening number, which I'd totally forgotten, and the LXD and friends to the score suite, which I loved.

Also, a random LXD video from a year and a half ago.
