healingmirth: deadpool, bemused, missing a chunk of his head (deadpool)
I have 429 things tagged unread in delicious. They are overwhelmingly fiction links, and that number never goes down. Most of the oldest bookmarks are Supernatural (I think they're probably Sam/Dean? That feels like a lifetime ago. My fannish years are akin to dog years.) or the handful of Snape/Harry fics that were left over from my plunge into Walking the Plank. They're mostly the ones that I keep reading the first paragraph of and thinking that I really don't care what happens, so I should probably just clear them out. Tomorrow. Right.
One of the recent bookmarks when I clicked through the home page just now was an Inception fic on LJ, in amidst the usual links about how to fix your credit or be a better Republican and the Top Howevermany Tools for Doing Whatever.
Also, 55,000+ people have used delicious to bookmark the Facebook home page.
In the midst of the OMG MY PRIVACY issues about LJ and Facebook and the handful of entries I've seen about fannish people's use of same, I am amused by peoples' friending of the Facebook Arthur/Eames. As I am seconds away from closing my laptop and passing out, I do not have a link for you, but I think Facebook!Arthur's last name is Callahan, if you wish to look into it yourself.

Mia Michaels did a really cool stylized 60s-ish group routine for SYTYCD Canada this week: Let Go. It's pretty sharp, but it's also a little bit like, after spending all season on SYTYCD telling people that their Fosse wasn't slinky enough, she decided to see if she could teach people to be slinky. Except in really, really brightly-colored suits.

I don't understand why people keep asking Benji Schwimmer to choreograph. He keeps choreographing really wacky routines, and you need to be able to do his stuff like he does for it to look good.

I still love Stacey Tookey. Her choreography is becoming more hit-or-miss for me, which is inevitable with more routines, but she will always, always, always be my favorite on the TV for the video packages of rehearsals, where she's all "Yes, yes, yes! Good!" and then, a half-second later: "almost!." and also because she has fuchsia lipstick on to match her fuchsia shirt.

Halp!

You know that thing where people don't like their food to touch on the plate? I am having a fandom moment like that. Pete Wentz's twin pillars of emo and insomnia are trying to infect the Inception section of my brain, and I suspect that his questionable impulse control is not far behind. Save me! I am on the edge of a cliff, and song!fic waits with jagged teeth below.
ETA - Actually, nevermind part two. Maybe I'll write it.
I also have a sudden craving for Ariadne/Robert fic. Like, it just happened right now, as I was typing this. I presume it exists, so I should go look for some of that action.
I watched ten minutes of America's Got Talent tonight, because the American Idiot cast was going to be on. I don't know whether to feel bad that Tony Vincent never gets to do these things, or to be happy for him that he doesn't often have commitments in addition to the performances.

I've never watched a whole episode of this show - and I'm not starting now - but there's some guy this season. Prince Poppycock, I think? I don't know what he's done in past weeks, and I don't really know what he did this week, but he sings, and there are costumes, and I suspect that type of stage makeup has a name. I suspect that it's all fascinating. I would totally go see his show in Vegas, just because.

I haven't watched it, but this appears to be a link to last night's performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cf2yI8lXe6w

There are phrasings of things that delight me about fandom (or, in the more general sense, People on the Internet) even though I feel like I should back slowly away from the meme and find some original thought. There are many things that delight me wholly without my permission. The squee is dead, long live the squee?

Today's entries, courtesy of the Inception Big Bang prompt post:

Oh, I am claiming this like the fist of an angry god. (source, though it's hardly an original usage)

(am also a big fan of people using the "need this like a thing that needs things" or "on like this like a simile that I haven't thought of yet" varieties.)

...but can I just say your brain and the way you write prompts are delightful. Like, I want to take this prompt on a date, treat it classy, and then make out with it behind the alley. (source)
Unrelated: Benedict Cumberbatch reads Little Red Hen. Glee! Glee in my brain!

I should not be allowed near Youtube.

Tom Hardy. I love him. So much. (I was actually pretty indifferent until I clicked a link to an interview five minutes ago. When will I learn?)

ETA: between him and Michael Esper, the part of my brain that contains the voice of my social-worker mother would like to remind me of this: if I ever attempt to date anyone who has had that colorful a past and has not dealt with it already, I will be disowned.

Luckily for everyone, the majority of people I am ever likely to meet have led very, very boring lives.
