Singing! and Dancing!

Quentin Tarantino was this week's mentor on American Idol. What? WHAT?!? I mean, I get his thing with music and all, but, seriously?
So, people are predicting an Adam Lambert - Danny Gokey finale, which I can see. I don't think I'm as excited about anyone as I was about David Cook last year, and I doubt I'll bother to be one of the 34 million voters at any point. I think I'd buy an album from Kris Allen or Matt Giraud though, and I'm sure I wouldn't for either Adam or Danny.
Still much love for Alison and Anoop. I think they're both fantastic singers, but I see Alison fronting a band rather than as a solo artist, and frankly, I don't listen to R&B and ballads, which seem to be his one true love.
And, God, Adam Lambert choreographed like the whole production - the strong section was swinging their bows in the air. And Paula's comment? Was "You dare to dance in the path of greatness." What? Cause that just makes me think Greatness is fixin' to run him over.
There was an article, or maybe a blog, that commented on the whole is he gay thing, after those pictures came out, talking about how AI claims they don't want to grant an unfair advantage to a gay contestant by giving them the...publicity? And yet they market the hell out of everyone else's personal lives.
I wish I had screencaps from Dancing with the Stars this week. The judges were all hot and bothered, both positive and negative, about Chuck and Julianne's rumba, but seriously, it was all due to the fact that she looked like a whore in her black lace thigh-highs. I used to love this show, but now I just want So You Think You Can Dance to come back.
However, things I do love. I sort of love that Folgers airs the same commercials for like 10 years. There's the one where that guy comes home early Christmas morning. They showed the Irish dancing one that I swear came out when I was in college during the results show tonight.
and finally -
Susan Boyle's audition on Britain's Got Talent I think everyone on the internet has seen this by now, but if not, watch it.
