I caught up on Real Life things today, I think. Maybe tomorrow I can catch up on Internet Things.
8:17 pm: could this be the first week that I'm actually excited about season 6?
I love lindy hop, and I love Ellenore, and. Ryan is very competent.
Legacy and Kathryn's routine seemed...like there wasn't much dancing? Even for Sonya, whose routines seem to be a little more pose-y than average. I mean, it was impressive, and I enjoyed it.
I sort of hate the tango. I was so, so happy to see Argentine Tango make an appearance and sort of edge out tango on DWTS this season, but Karen and Viktor did their part, I guess.
Classy, Nathan.
Russel's arms are killing me, in the bad way. He really warmed up halfway through the samba, though. I like Noelle well enough. I tuned out during Tyce's piece, but I have the impression that he could have carried the paint thing a lot further. The choreography was good? But the concept needed to be all or nothing.
I was excited to see Ellenore and Ryan dance Spencer Liff's choreography. Ryan's at least strong enough (literally) to pull it off. Ryan sort of looks like John Barrowman in that broadway makeup. Particularly under the horrible lighting on the giant stage. Still, loved it.
So, tonight is let's cater to Legacy night, huh? Dude, split up the over-emotional crying twins already.
Victor and Karen's hiphop was like watching a routine with the sound badly synched in post.
Nathan's hiphop? Not great. The cancan reminded me of the russian folk dancing. Mollie/Mollee/whatever continues to annoy me by being a much better dancer than personality.
Ashleigh and Jakob's were unsurprisingly good. I love the cha-cha in pretty much direct proportion to how much I dislike the tango.
Oh My God I was so excited by the first 5 minutes of Sons of Anarchy that I was literally bouncing up and down. This? Is part of why I don't participate in fandoms, because I need that much distance to keep from spoiling myself. I try to not watch commercials, even, if I can help it.
I still can't tell if Henry Rollins is actually the least compelling actor ever, or if he's doing that on purpose.
Season Finale next week! *\o/*
Speaking of finales, I haven't watched DWTS yet. I should do that before I get spoiled. (ETA about 5 seconds later. I am an idiot and I looked at my Facebook feed on Trillian when I closed it. But maybe that was just an expression of fury, and not a winner.)
