In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.
I wish I could write shorter things. I would write more of them! I love longfic, and occasionally have fic ideas that can only be served by longfic, but I really love scenes - slice of life, five things, all that stuff, and some of what I'm happiest with of what I've written are things that feel unresolved. Hopeful, almost always, but open-ended.

Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: American Idiot - Green Day/Armstrong
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Tunny/Will
Characters: Tunny (American Idiot), Will (American Idiot), Johnny (American Idiot)
Summary:
I just... really liked writing this. And I still like it looking back at it. American Idiot is pretty much the fandom of my heart, and I saw the show so many times. Seriously so many times. Might have been ten. The original Broadway cast are more or less of my generation, and I simultaneously like and can be immensely frustrated by dudes of my generation. I think every generation since Gen X has believed that the world is going downhill, and their slice of it is going downhill particularly fast. So writing in this fandom, it's maybe not so much a happy place (sometimes it is!) but it's a place of comfort for me to write about the occasionally shitty pedestrian lives of the American Idiot characters.
In the case of this fic, I am particularly fond of the juxtaposition of super powers with that continued sense of being stuck. It's a little bit analogous to writing the coffeehouse AU of Harry Potter or Star Trek or The Avengers. Not quite a reversal of the trope, but something in that general vicinity.

I like crossovers! I like scenes where characters meet and maybe go their separate ways again. I never manage to get into
intoabar, but I should.
comment_fic was great for crossover prompts once upon a time, and so is the Porn Battle.
This is a case of two characters I just really enjoy. I loved Sam Carter so much, y'all, omg. It's short, and just the tiniest bit porny, because it's not very many words. It could easily have been three times as many words for the same sequence of events, but I still like it as a sketch.
I don't write as much het as I used to - not that I ever wrote a whole lot of it - now that I'm not actively watching NCIS and Stargate. I wish I could find a fandom that inspired me to swing that pendulum back.

Series: Part 1 of will you allow me that?
Summary:
You know what's fun? Trying to write characters in voices that are not my own. I've got a few stories that attempted to hit this - Vera (Jack from Torchwood/Jayne from Firefly) and Fight or Wait (Raylan/Time from Justified). I tend to pick up people's speech patterns in real life, or at least a bastardized version of them. This is more of an attempt at tone, and largely in writing shorter sentences, than it is picking up someone's dialect. I love me a long sentence, unfortunately.
I'm fairly certain that this was the fic that was among the least-read in the yuletide collection that year for a loooong time. I'm still a little bitter (in the absolute mildest sense) about that, but it doesn't make me like the story any less, or be less glad I wrote it.

Fandom: NCIS, Leverage

Relationships: Abby Sciuto/Eliot Spencer
Characters: Abby Sciuto, Eliot Spencer
Additional Tags: Comment Fic
Summary:
Moar crossover! Moar commentfic! I absolutely would have written more of this if I hadn't fallen off both Leverage and NCIS. Maybe someday. Abby is probably my favorite female character on TV, and maybe my favorite character, full stop. I'd have to think about it more than I'm ready to do right now. So, I love her, but I've never really shipped her with anyone on NCIS. I think there's too much of a family vibe for me there. Discovering the
comment_fic prompt asking for this was one of my most fun fannish moments.

Characters: Tunny (American Idiot), Will (American Idiot), Johnny (American Idiot)
Summary:
Will would've gotten up to find the remote, but his spot on the couch was empty. It'd been empty a lot lately. Tunny had long since given up saving the spot, in favor of not having to hold his head upright.
The one where they have largely unexplained (and unexamined, for the boys' part) supernatural powers.
